A market share at 45% makes FAIRYTALE FLOWERS® the world’s greatest producer of Campanula. Of course we wish to maintain this position, which is why we have started building new high technology glasshouses at 2 hectares to be able to expand the production of the popular bellflower.
The demand for Campanula is so great that in the spring 2010 we decided to extend the existing glasshouses. And the glasshouses will be very long – 400 meters long glasshouses means a 4km walk for an employee every day to inspect the plants.
The expansion takes place towards Løkkegravene; this was outdoor area until now. Therefore we have to cast the base and pass several cables to the new glasshouses. Moreover a new way in to the nursery is to be laid out. This means that there will be a lot of contractor’s machinery in the areas around the nursery during the autumn.
The building activities are expected to be ready for use for the spring season 2011, so you have a good chance of having FAIRYTALE FLOWERS® Campanula blooming in your house and in your garden next year.
