At GARTNERIET PKM we produce a wide range of beautiful plants and flowers. What they all have in common is that they are aged to better resist various diseases and to be beautiful and rich in flowers.
In addition, PKM is constantly evolving and looking for new plants that meet market needs and consumer trends worldwide.
We have chosen to focus on Campanula, Schlumbergera, Rhipsalidopsis, Gentiana and Crassula and are constantly working on being able to market even better products under the FAIRYTALE FLOWERS® brand.
The development department is filled with many Campanula species and a wide genetic base within each species. Thus, the development department holds hundreds of different clones of GET MEE®, which ensure the base for the many continuous improvements the product requires to keep up with the demands of time and remain a popular quality product. The same applies to our other products.
Gartneriet PKM has modern greenhouses that enable us to provide the plants with the conditions in which they grow best and they can thus leave the production site as high quality plants. As an example, our plant robots place the individual small plants in the sales pot with millimetre accuracy day in and day out so that the small plant is raised 1cm above the ground. This creates a dry climate around the crown, which is typically the first point of attack for diseases during cultivation and distribution. The propagation process is continuously controlled in our health laboratory so that only cuttings from healthy plants are harvested – without a healthy starting point it is difficult to achieve a healthy and successful end product. In addition to focusing on a high level of hygiene, product development also works intensively on resistance – from the individual seed germination to the final product 5, 8 or even 10 years later. The genetic basis, together with modern greenhouses and dedicated staff, has enabled PKM to push the boundaries of health, colour intensity, durability, delivery reliability, bud count and width of the Campanula range over the last decade. Similar conditions in Schlumbergera and Rhipsalidopsis enable us to supply these in a consistent and high quality for the benefit of consumers and sales companies.
In developing packaging for our plants, we focus on reflecting the high quality of the plants, ensuring that they stand out in stores as well as on being consiuos about the environment.
